Leading Change is different from Managing Change. Perhaps due to my life-long reluctance to duck a challenge - I was given the hardest problems to solve.  I lead business turnarounds, startups and closures, for decades! So, I learnt Leadership from being the Leader charged with effecting significant change in companies large and small.  I was fortunate to work with Mentors who helped me transform working practices, successfully enter new markets and achieve success quickly. We did this not through managing change but rather by leading change.  Knowing the difference Change Leadership can make to people is even more relevant today with the major challenges we face simply employing people at a time of dramatic change in our workspace.

I now want to help others who seek to become successful Leaders avoid some of the pitfalls that can easily slow down or even derail the execution of change where we work.  I was never good at asking permission from those who had no clue how to solve a problem.  That led me to Change Leadership and forced me to discover new ways to develop and execute change - often against resistance from employees, managers and even head office.  

Transforming an organisation is not easy and invariably difficult for people, who all too often are kept in the dark until it's too late. Change Leadership is about placing people at the centre of change and taking responsibility for their people.

Leaders are expected to achieve change successfully, quickly and often in a difficult environment. I was lucky always to have a Mentor to share my concerns and give me support.  Here are just four who helped me up that steep mountain.

1. Online Questionnaire (Free)

The Evaluation Process is designed to help establish our suitability as Mentor and Mentee for the Leadership program. All Applicants receive individual feedback from mr alex. 

2. Online Matching (Free)

Suitable applicants will be invited to meet with mr alex via video link to determine whether we can help you achieve your goals as Mentor and Mentee.  

  

3. Offer to Mentor

Providing you have accepted our Terms & Conditions, you will receive a written offer. To get the best out of the Leadership Mentoring Service, we recommend a minimum period of six months. The program is drawn up to meet the individual profile and development needs of each Mentee.  mr alex will only offer his services to candidates he believes will benefit by working together to achieve the Mentee's goals and objectives.

"Firstly, I’m not a big reader, but 'it does matter' kept me gripped, and I’d read 4/5 chapters before I knew about it. It flows really well; you write with effect, respect and, more importantly, honesty, not being scared to share the lows with the highs; it makes the book such a good read. Each chapter builds more suspense than the last; I kept thinking - what the hell is he going to do now that’s just happened?
